I am a Seattle-based writer, editor, designer and content creator with more than a decade of experience producing and managing highly-engaging material with a strong focus on the power of storytelling.
I spent eight years as a staff writer and multimedia journalist for the Hartford Courant in Connecticut with experience covering all things big and small across the state – from the calm to chaos.
Following my time at the Courant, I spent nearly 18 months as an assistant managing editor at Hearst Connecticut Media Group, leading a growing team that was responsible for breaking news coverage across the state of Connecticut.
In the past year, I have taken my skill set as a producer, reporter and editor to enhance the communications, marketing and branding efforts for the Washington Health Alliance, an independent, multi-stakeholder collaborative focused on improving the quality and cost of health care with the goal of ensuring all Washingtonians live healthy lives.
As a reporter and editor, my focus has been on crime, violence, and the opioid epidemic. But my mandate was broad and I’ve written stories about business, politics, public health, and technology. I’ve also been known to write a bit about the weather (blizzards, hurricanes, droughts, etc.)
I am passionate about discovering unique ways to connect with readers as news unfolds. I am interested in coding, photography and video, and reporting and writing.
My stories have been picked up by news outlets across the country and featured across the internet’s far reaches.
